Your doctor will advise you during the consultation when they expect your results to arrive at the practice.

After all your results have been checked by your doctor, an SMS message will be sent out informing you about your results. Depending on the nature of your results, the SMS will advise you if no action is necessary, or if you are required to book an urgent or a non-urgent follow-up appointment.

You will also be reminded by another message in a week if you have failed or forgotten to make the follow-up appointment as recommended.

Please note that no test results are filed in a patient’s computer file without being reviewed and approved by the Doctor first. For patients without a mobile phone, abnormal results will be conveyed by a phone call from the doctor or reception staff as needed.

In the rare event that you have not received any SMS messages or phone call, please call reception to follow up.

It is imperative that you contact us if you haven’t heard from us regarding your results.

Please ensure that your mobile phone contact details are up to date so that we can contact you with specific follow-up instructions in a timely manner.

Please keep your appointment if one is made as a follow-up during your consult.
